Turn off text smoothing

Turn off text smoothing

When the Smoothing check box is selected in the Text workpane, the jagged edge that would otherwise border a text character is eliminated. For this reason, you should usually leave the Smoothing check box selected.

However, small text that is smoothed may look blurry when you view it on a computer screen. If your final picture file contains text smaller than 10 points, and if you intend to display the picture on a Web page, you may want to clear the Smoothing check box to make the text more legible.

  1. On the workspace or in the object list, select the text object.

  2. Do one of the following:
  3. At the top of the workpane, click Text Flow.

  4. Clear the Smoothing check box.
